CCTV Drain Surveys

The CCTV units are used for different jobs, the black and white look and see camera is used on site for small blockages and remedial work, the colour camera with meterage and recording is used on survey work where a permanent recorded record is wanted.

We can also provide a report with both types of CCTV survey and site plans of the sewers in the road.

A CCTV inspection will reveal most structural defects within the drain, including tree root penetration, cracked or fractured pipes, displaced joints and poor gradients.

However a CCTV survey does not show if the drain is leaking.

Leaking drains is a major cause of subsidence, leaks often result from defective pipe joints or couplings, which cannot be seen by CCTV, for this problem  hydraulic leak testing is the only way to know for certain whether a drain is watertight or not.
